Dog Vaccination Clinic

On June 16th, 2012, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., the City of Orange Cove and the Orange Cove Police Department will be hosting the annual Orange Cove Dog Vaccination Clinic at the center of Eaton Park.

Dr. Graves and his staff, from the Kings River Veterinary Hospital, will be on hand to provide low cost dog vaccinations to the residents of Orange Cove. Dr. Graves will be offering three types of vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper, and Parvo, with each vaccination costing $6.00.

Staff from the Orange Cove Police Department will also be on hand providing dog licenses at a one day only rate of $4.00 per vaccinated animal. It is extremely important not only to have your pet vaccinated, but licensed as well and is required by State Law. A dog license provides a way for an animal to be reunited with it's owners if ever lost, and in the unfortunate event of a dog biting a person, or animal, the license will provide us with the information of the dog's health. People do have the option of not licensing their dog during the vaccination clinic, but would be missing the opportunity to get their animal licensed at the discounted rate and face future citations.

All pet owners that bring their dog(s) to the vaccination clinic must keep them on a leash at all times and water will be provided for the animals.

ORANGE COVE WATER CONSERVATION PLAN

Water is a precious resource that is vital to the survival of all living things, and at times, is taken for granted. At the beginning of April the City of Orange Cove was notified by the Bureau of Reclamation that the water supply allocated for the City of Orange Cove will be 35% off the normal amount allocated for the City of Orange Cove. Annual rainfall affects the water supply allotment and water consumption is dependant on ambient temperature. Due to these factors the City of Orange Cove is experiencing a water drought crisis.

During this drought water conservation methods, and enforcement from the Orange Cove Police Department, have currently begun and will be strictly enforced. The duration of this water crisis is unknown, and everyone in the City of Orange Cove is being asked to do their part in conserving water.

To help people remember the appropriate times for outside water use the Orange Cove Police Department has put together a water conservation flyer, one flyer in English and one flyer in Spanish. The water conservation flyer accurately reflects the Orange Cove Municipal Code, the City of Orange Cove's Water Conservation Plan, and will be enforced by the Orange Cove Police Department.

The water conservation flyers can be located in the Download Center on the Orange Cove Police Department website toward the bottom left hand side of the home page.

The Orange Cove Municipal Code can also be located through the Orange Cove Police Department's website under the Data Center tab at the top of the home page of the website. Once viewing the Orange Cove Municipal Code click on Title 13 - Public Services on the left hand side of the webpage. In the Title 13 - Public Services section click on Chapter 13.17 - Water Conservation to view the Orange Cove Municipal Code sections related to the City of Orange Cove's Water Conservation Plan.
